An independent team of passionate & knowledgeable local experts
For twenty-four years, I have succeeded in expanding my activity as a guide, turning my passion into my profession.
Lucie, Julie, Pascal, Marc, Lionel, Philippe, Cédric, Yves and Arnaud are English-speaking certified hiking guides, as I am. All of us live and work in Provence, displaying a high standard of ethics. And we love sharing our passion for and intimate knowledge of our region with the people who come: we know in particular the best trails and the most scenic spots across Provence. Few other professionals are so well familiar with its specific flora and historical features and can offer such meaningful information.
Be confident about hiring one of our helpful guides: as experienced professionals, my co-workers and I will keep you safe on every trail of this varied territory. We will select with you the best routes according to your wishes and abilities, together with the conditions of your stay. You will find us approachable, accommodating and eager to make your experience here a memorable one.
And with us, walking in Provence led by a guide is possible in four languages: we can speak English, German, Italian and French, of course !
We are experts in Mediterranean nature
All of us are naturalist guides with expert knowledge, especially in the so diverse Mediterranean flora. In addition to the guiding of adults, most of us lead schoolchildren and students on hiking trails. We propose nature interpretation and education programs.
__________
Hiking is one of my greatest joys in life. I discovered it as a child during the summer holidays. Our father used to lead my brother and I up to the top of Garlaban in the early morning. What a pleasure it was, after our effort, to savour the saucisson, this typical thick dry cured sausage from France, while towering over the town of Aubagne.
Today, I’m happy to share my passion and knowledge with you, visitors from all over the world. Thank you for coming and exploring Provence, our beautiful and so diverse region.
I’m a certified hiking guide, with a certificate approved by the UIMLA (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations). On trails since 1999 as a guide, I have acquired a solid expertise in a wide range of trails (more than 100) and a large knowledge in many fields: natural environment of course, but also history, art, food and wine – in a word, local culture. I’m ever eager to share with my guests some tidbits about the area we are exploring.
My business partners in outdoor recreation are hiking guides companies, local incoming agencies, international tour operators, holiday clubs, hotels, tourist offices and other professional guides. As far as educational school trips are concerned, I mostly work with French high schools.
Provençal by my mother, I practice my activity in every corner of Provence with a various public in very different ways. And this diversity is essential to me.
My family and I have been living in Provence since 2000, after a few years spent in Canada. Besides hiking, I am passionate about trail running, cooking and enjoying good food, listening to music and watching movies.
We are International Mountain Leaders
(approved by UIMLA, the International governing body for Mountains Leaders).
Our diploma : Brevet d’État d’Accompagnateur en Moyenne Montagne
(National Mountain Leader certification).
